About
Who Am I?
I love stories. I will never forget learning to read in the first grade. Holding that little copy of Dick and Jane in my hand, I realized I could go anywhere within the pages of a book. It was like magic..
Today, utilizing research into the culture, history, and geography of the Bible, I take my readers along for the journey. In The Compassionate Christ, we travel to first-century Palestine to sit at the feet of Jesus as He healed the sick, fed the hungry, spoke truth to power, and told His own stories about the Kingdom of God.
This November, we continue the journey as your favorite Advent devotional, Advent: The Story of Christmas is re-released as The Promised Christ. Come along with me as we trace God’s love story of redemption from Eden to Jerusalem.
But … I also want to help you tell your story. If you need a freelance writer, editor, or ghostwriter, I am here to help. Just reach out!
A Bit More About me
I am the mother of five kind and compassionate adult children and “CoCo” to a brand new granddaughter. I am a cancer survivor and enjoy facilitating expressive writing workshops for men and women navigating their own cancer journeys at Gilda’s Club Nashville through The Porch’s Writing for Good Program. I also lead workshops for the brilliant writers at Mending Hearts. The courage, resilience, and strength they demonstrate as they work through recovery never fails to inspire me.
I love dark chocolate, books, gardening, coffee, hiking, porch sitting and my very large, not especially brave, puppy, Samson. I also love exploring ancient ruins and restoring my little historical cottage near my hometown of Nashville, Tennessee.
